What’s a RICC?

The abbreviation “RICC” comes from the state agency that provides the funding for our local group.

It means Regional Interagency Consumer Committee.

The Baraga County RICC is a local coalition designed to serve people with disabilities. Membership can also include family members, advocates, and service providers.

The group meets at least 6 times per year and has been very effective locally and statewide at advocating for services and programs.

The officers of the group are people with disabilities and are term limited to develop leadership in members.

The group is supported by a state grant each year that must be renewed, contingent upon the group accomplishing the objectives in a yearly work plan.
